Website effectiveness - Sample report.

Issues Suggestions

  • There are two "Log-in" methods on the home page. Regular Users with a username and password are relegated to scroll down "below the fold" of the page to access their intelligence, or have to click to access a new log-in page.

  • Give your repeat visitors an easier navigation by putting the existing 'ready-to-complete' log-in box where the Newsletter subscription box is currently located. It shows you value you their return visit.

  • The other 'Login' button at top right could be eliminated

  • There are two Cart Content areas on the Home Page. Both worked accurately based on previous selections. The left-side Cart area is very informative and should be retained. The other is simply a link.
  • Remove the "Cart Content" button at the top right entirely.
  • Put the "Cart Content" box (currently at lower left) between the "Latest News" box and the Help button in the top right of the page.

  • There are two 'Newsletter subscription' options on the home page. One on the main navigation called 'Join Newsletter'.
  • The other 'ready to complete' one at the top left says 'Newsletter' then 'Subscribe'. It is not clear if the newsletter is free or not even after completing the target form.
  • In the Navigation section, change the button to simply 'Newsletter' instead of 'Join Newsletter'.
  • Do not have an e-mail address only option on the home page as you will not get the visitor information you would like.
  • As the subscription process only needs to be done once, the top left Newsletter box can be left in its present format but the text changed to say "Subscribe to our free newsletter service" GO, then take the visitor to the target page to select weekly/monthly and complete the rest of the form. This ensures you get all the information about the visitor instead of simply their e-mail address.
  • The Newsletter subscription box should be moved down to sit under the Navigation cluster.
